Potential targets for evaluation of sugarcane yellow leaf virus resistance in sugarcane cultivars: in silico sugarcane miRNA and target network prediction

چکیده

The Sugarcane yellow leaf virus (SCYLV) is associated with sugarcane disease (SCYLD) and considered to be the most economically deleterious emerging pathogen that represents a potential threat danger cultivation in China. Over last two decades, high genetic diversity SCYLV genotypes was observed worldwide, greater chance of YLD incidence for injury. infection has significantly damaged its economic traits responsible substantial losses biomass production cultivars. This study aims identify analyse microRNAs (miRNAs) as therapeutic targets against using plant miRNA prediction tools. Mature miRNAs are retrieved used hybridisation SCYLV. A total seven common were selected based on consensus genomic positions. biologically significant, top ranked ssp-miR528 consensually predicted have potentially unique site at nucleotide position 4162 targeting ORF5 genome; this by all algorithms study. Then, miRNA–mRNA regulatory network generated Circos algorithm, which predict novel targets. There no acceptable commercial SCYLV-resistant varieties available present. Therefore, biological data offer valuable evidence generation plants.

Categorizing sugarcane cultivar resistance to the sugarcane aphid and yellow sugarcane aphid (Hemiptera: Aphididae).

Sugarcane (Saccharum spp.) in Louisiana is colonized by two aphid species, the sugarcane aphid, Melanaphis sacchari (Zehntner), and the yellow sugarcane aphid, Sipha flava (Forbes) (Hemiptera: Aphididae). The main problem associated with M. sacchari is transmission of sugarcane yellow leaf virus, a casual agent of yellow leaf disease whose absence has been added to certification standards for m...

Eradicating Sugarcane Yellow Leaf Virus in Sugarcane Variety N32 through Tissue Culture

Yellow Leaf Syndrome of sugarcane is caused by Sugarcane Yellow Leaf Virus (SCYLV) and/or Sugarcane Yellows Phytoplasma (SCYP). Using tissue blot immunoassay to determine the presence of SCYLV, leaf samples of sugarcane variety N32 taken from a propagation plot at Mount Edgecombe all tested positive. In this study, two methods of tissue culture were used in an attempt to eradicate SCYLV from N3...

The P0 gene of Sugarcane yellow leaf virus encodes an RNA silencing suppressor with unique activities.

The Sugarcane yellow leaf virus (SCYLV) P0, a member of the highly heterologous proteins of poleroviruses, is a suppressor of posttranscriptional gene silencing (PTGS) and has additional activities not seen in other P0 proteins. The P0 protein in previously tested poleroviruses (Beet western yellows virus and Cucurbit aphid-borne yellows virus), suppresses local, but not systemic, PTGS induced ...
